Digital Content Producer
We are recruiting for the new role of Digital Content Producer.
Shaper/Caper is a touring dance theatre company based in Dundee and our tagline is Every Step Tells a Story....because we LOVE telling stories, particularly seldom-heard stories like we did with our award winning show, Small Town Boys, where we explored how the LGBTQ+ community were deeply affected by the AIDS crisis in the 80's and 90's. The show led to lots of brilliant queer folk sharing their stories and that inspired us to commission 10 queer artists to make work for our Queer & Now exhibition. We also have a super busy engagement programme including Dance for Parkinson's classes, workshops and shows in care homes, prisons, nurseries, oh....and 116 shows and workshops in primary schools each year. In fact, last year we worked with 7673 amazing people through these programmes! We are one of the new Creative Scotland Multi Year Funded organisations in forthcoming portfolio. Yay!
So, we are looking for someone who loves to tell stories too! They will produce original content through a variety of mediums including films, photos, graphics, podcasts that tells engaging stories about our work. They will manage all our digital channels including social media and our website and develop collaborations with partners that amplify our messages. They will work in collaboration with our Artistic Director to create and implement a narrative vision and storytelling strategy across all digital channels which tells engaging and powerful stories about our work and achieves the ambition of our audience development strategy.
We are looking for someone who is particularly interested in helping us grow our work with our priority audiences: Children and Young People, Working Class Families, LGBTQ+ people, and marginalised people or communities, and will embrace our values of kindness, respect, collaboration, and joy.
