PRODUCER RECRUITMENT

We are looking for an experienced producer to support, develop and produce our touring programmes. The Producer is a key member of the team and will contribute to the development of our future plans, and to shape the growth of our touring programmes. Key tasks will cover strategic, operational, partnership, and fundraising areas in close accordance with the Executive Team. The candidate must have 5+ years of relevant experience, a growth-mindset attitude, excellent inter and intra-personal skills, and a willingness to work according to our company values, Kindness, Respect, Collaboration, and Joy.

The Producer will produce the tour and ongoing touring of our latest production, ‘Small Town Boys’ - an immersive, site specific show that draws audiences into the world of the 80’s club scene, bringing a pivotal era of queer history to life set against the backdrop of Section 28 and the AIDS crisis, as well as producing new & other existing work across Scotland, the UK and internationally.

This role is supported by an Assistant Producer, working within a small team of 10 people (a mix of full time, part time and freelance roles).

Contract: Fixed term - initially 1 year but we hope to extend pending further funding

Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 p.a. (pro-rata £25,600 to £28,000) depending on experience

Hours of Work: 32 hours a week

Location: Our team typically works 1 day a week from Shaper/Caper’s office at Shaper/Caper’s office at Unit 6 Manhattan Works, Dundonald Street, Dundee DD3 7PY, and the rest of the week from home. However, we are happy to work with the successful candidate to ascertain a way of working that suits both the company and the candidate which could involve flexible working or compressed hours.

Holiday Entitlement: 32 days per calendar year inclusive of public holidays (pro-rata for part time staff) + 2 wellbeing days per year

Furthermore, after 5 years of continuous service, you will be entitled to additional annual leave in the next leave year as follows:

5 years = 33 days leave

7 years = 35 days leave

10 years = 37 days leave
