About Creatiful

Creatiful is a festival curated by the fantastic members of our Youth Advisory Board! It’s all about bringing young people together to promote mental health and wellbeing through connection and creativity.

Taking place over two days, Creatiful invites young people and families to come along and get involved in some FREE events and workshops hosted by brilliant local artists. It’s all about trying new things and opening up the arts to all, so come and have a nosey at what’s on offer!

Friday 18 November, 7pm to 9pm | Serendipities Dundee
An arts networking event for young artists. A cosy, creative evening with refreshments, where the Youth Advisory Board will talk about their experience curating the festival, and you will have the chance to chat with fellow artists!

Saturday 19 November, 11am to 5pm | Maxwell Centre Dundee
A full day of fun arts workshops and performances for all ages and abilities with an emphasis on connection, mental wellbeing, and skills development. Prepare to watch amazing work and/ or to participate in workshops lead by fellow emerging young artists.

Serendipities
Serendipities is situated on the top end of Union Street which is a pedestrianized Street. You can access many of the city's major bus routes close by on the Nethergate. It is also a five-minute walk to Dundee train station. The café has an accessible bathroom for customers to access. It has a variety of seating options, including a wide variety of movable furniture if you require more space for wheelchairs, buggies et cetera. If you need help at the event, please speak to team members who will greet you on arrival.

The MAXwell Centre
The MAXwell Centre is a community centre in the heart of the Coldside area of Dundee. Step free access is available in all areas of the venue. The building is step free from Carnegie Street and the community garden area is accessed step-free from North Wellington Street. It is close to several bus routes including the number 22 which stops approximately three minutes away. It is just over 1 mile from Dundee city centre on foot. There is on-street parking, and it is reasonably easy for cars to drop off close to the centre entrance. A variety of seating options and spaces are available within the venue, including quieter breakout rooms.
