Shaper/Caper is a dance-theatre charity based in Dundee that offers creative experiences to people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds through storytelling.

We want to contribute to a more socially just, connected, and empathic world through dance theatre and creativity. To achieve this, we nurture spaces for innovation and creativity through dance theatre that connects people and reveals the extraordinary in people.

We work with Children and Young People, Working Class Families, LGBTQ+ people, and Vulnerable Individuals (people with long-term health conditions, migrants, in care, in custody).  

We do this work because the arts saved us. Art provides a safe, dynamic, and imagination-sparking world that helps us to understand and respond to the chaotic, unjust, and wonderful world we live in. We have lived experience of this and believe sharing it has the power to make society more connected and empathic.

Our Values are Kindness, Respect, Collaboration, and Joy. We won the Chamber Champion Award at the Dundee & Angus Chamber of Commerce Awards in 2023 and the Inspirational Education and Outreach Work at the One Dance UK Awards in 2020!
